About So You Think You're A Star
"So You Think You're A Star Is A National Comedy Competition, So You Think You’re A Star” Comedy Competition (“SYTYASCC”) will audition comedicacts from multiple cities in search of the best comedians from across the United States ofAmerica. So, If “You Think You’re A Star” and would like to compete with other comedians fortop placement rankings, $25,000 in cash and prizes, please read thoroughly all of the ComedyCompetition rules, regulations and guidelines and complete and submit the attached applicationalong with the required application fee for participation consideration.

COMPETITION RULES AND REGULATIONS:1. The maximum amount of time for an act is 7.5 minutes. If during the competition the act goes over 7.5minutes, the act will be disqualified.2. Eligibility. This contest is open to all comedians. Comedians do not have to be a resident of the city inwhich they compete to enter.3. All contestants must be at least 18 years of age.4. All contestants entering the competition must submit a fully completed application to SYTYASCC.5. Due to time limits, the competition may have to limit the number of entries. Entries will be taken andreviewed in the order received by SYTYASCC.6. The competition will be limited to a maximum of 10 comedians per audition night.7. Order of performance will be determined by SYTYASCC.8. All comedians selected as semifinalists must be available to compete during the Local Semi-Finals,date TBD.9. Those who are/have been paid to perform their talent monetarily or otherwise are NOT permitted tocompete.10. All rounds of competition will be in front of a live audience. Audience members are encouraged toobserve and positively support all contestants. All lyrics must be memorized; no prompters or note cardsmay be used.11. In the event a contestant arrives in inappropriate attire, displays any inappropriate gestures, display ofindecent exposure during the performance, the participant will be immediately disqualified from thecontest. Any fines or actions taken from authorities becomes the responsibility of the performer.12. By participating in this competition, all contestants will authorize by signature and grant SYTYASCCthe right to publicize and/or broadcast a contestant’s name, character, likeness, event photographs, voicesand the fact that he/she has participated in and or won the competition without receiving additionalcompensation beyond the prizes listed.13. By participating in this competition and/or accepting any prize in this contest, the winner releasesSYTYASCC, and any additional sponsors from any and all liabilities associated with this competitionand/or said prize.14. Decisions of the SYTYASCC panel of judges are final and the scores will not be released to the actsor the public.15. SYTYASCC reserves the right to change the rules at any time, and/or discontinue the contest withoutprior notice. SYTYASCC also reserves the right to disqualify any contestant who fails to comply withofficial rules.16. No responsibility is assumed by SYTYASCC or any sponsor, for damaged, lost, altered, misdirected,postage due, incomplete or illegible entries.17. Dressing rooms are not available. Please plan to use public restrooms for all levels of competition.18. Competition will be held rain or shine.19. Each round of competition ends when final act present completes; late arrivals will be disqualified.20. Contestants are prohibited from competing if they have won in previous years.21. Pre-registration is required. No walk-ins will be accepted. No exceptions.22. Contestants who do not show to perform at their confirmed scheduled performance time will bedisqualified and replaced with a “stand by” alternate. No exceptions.23. Contestants understand that the time, manner and method of judging shall be solely within thediscretion of the competition officials and the decision of its judges will be final in all cases.
